Lucid USA, Inc. (Lucid) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Air vehicles equipped with rear-wheel drive. The Gen 4 inverter may experience internal friction and become damaged, causing a loss of drive power.
Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy per NHTSA (as of 2026-08-27): Lucid will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update to continually inspect for an inverter failure.

The rearview camera image may not display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."
