EVs fail differently. Inspect them differently.
The battery is the car. Our EV inspection reads HV battery health, runs a live charging test, and scans EV-specific fault codes — on top of the full core inspection every vehicle gets. Photo-documented report in 24 hours.
What the EV inspection covers
A used EV can look showroom-clean and hide a degraded pack or a charging fault that costs five figures. These are the checks a standard mechanic’s once-over misses.
HV battery health
State-of-health assessment from the vehicle’s own battery-management data, plus indicated range vs. rated range at the current charge level.
Charging system test
A live charging session is initiated where a charger is available — confirming the charge port, onboard charger, and charge curve behave correctly.
EV fault-code scan
High-voltage system, battery-management, and drive-unit fault codes read and reported — alerts a standard OBD-II once-over does not surface.
Thermal + drivetrain
Battery cooling system inspected for leaks and fault history; drive-unit noise evaluated on the road test.
The full core inspection too
Everything in our standard inspection still happens: body, paint, frame, tires, brakes, suspension, interior, electronics, road test, 25+ photos.
Software + recalls
Software-locked features, open recalls, and charging-network compatibility noted so you know what the car can actually do.
Plus the complete core inspection — 17 inspection areas, road test, and 25+ photos — identical to every Vehicle Inspectors report.
