Scope of this page
The inspection is identical for all three countries, and the position on import rules is the same: the age limits and registration requirements for Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain are published mainly in Arabic and quoted inconsistently by exporters, and we will not print a number we cannot source. The US-side inspection, the US export rules and the buying advice do not change by destination.
As soon as we have an official text for a country, it gets its own page with a sourced rules table like the UAE and Saudi pages.
What does the inspector check on a car bound for the Gulf?
The full Vehicle Inspectors inspection, plus the export-buyer specifics: structure and repair quality, cooling and A/C performance (instrumented on Silver and Gold), VIN plates, compliance label and cluster units photographed where visible (ask for them at booking), any title the seller shows photographed, OBD-II scan and a road test where the car can legally and safely be driven.
Payment, title and the US export filing
Inspect before any deposit. Ask for the title in the seller's name, a lien release if the car was financed, and a bill of sale with the VIN. Pay through a bank wire you initiate to an account you have independently verified; Vehicle Inspectors never holds the purchase money. Your exporter files US export information at least 72 hours before sailing and presents the title to US Customs at the port.
